Superclean Vol. II

Released in late 2018, Superclean Vol. II serves as the second half of the project that defined The Marías' early identity. Following the success of Vol. I, this EP solidified the creative partnership between Maria Zardoya and Josh Conway. Sonically, it leans heavily into a blend of dream pop and jazz-inflected indie, characterized by its 'superclean' production - a term that refers to the clarity and precision of the arrangements despite the heavy use of reverb and atmosphere. The EP is notable for its bilingual lyrics, particularly on the standout track 'Cariño', which became a signature song for the band.
