Spoiled Identity EP

Released in 2014, Spoiled Identity EP serves as a high-octane precursor to the band's breakout full-length, The Tyranny of Will. Originally distributed as a free download and a flexi-disc via Decibel Magazine, the EP features 13 tracks that collectively clock in at roughly five minutes. This brevity is the album's defining characteristic, pushing the 'crossover' sound to its logical extreme. Recorded during the same sessions as their second LP, it includes early versions of fan favorites like 'The Living Skull' - a tribute to the late Dave Brockie (Oderus Urungus of GWAR) - and 'Your Kid's an Asshole'. The EP is a masterclass in efficiency, utilizing d-beat drumming, tremolo-picked thrash riffs, and sarcastic lyrical themes. It solidified Iron Reagan's position as modern leaders of the Richmond, Virginia heavy music scene, bridging the gap between the technicality of Municipal Waste and the raw aggression of hardcore punk.
