Released in 1998, Phoenix Rising served as a major commercial and critical comeback for The Temptations, becoming their first Platinum-certified album in over two decades. The project marked a significant transition for the group, introducing new members Barrington 'Bo' Henderson, Terry Weeks, and Harry McGilberry.
