Not Too Late

Released in 2007, Not Too Late is Norah Jones's third studio album and represents a significant pivot in her creative process. Unlike her first two multi-platinum records, this album was produced by her then-partner and bassist Lee Alexander in their home studio, largely away from the oversight of Blue Note executives. It was her first project following the death of legendary producer Arif Mardin, and the resulting sound is markedly more independent and experimental. Jones took a primary role in the songwriting, utilizing an acoustic guitar she carried during her 2004-2005 world tour.
