My Visions

Released in 1993, My Visions is the debut full-length from French electronic project Mlada Fronta (Rémy Pelleschi). While Pelleschi would later become a foundational figure in the rhythmic noise and powernoise genres, this early work is significantly more aligned with ambient techno and dark electronica. The album consists of seven expansive tracks that prioritize atmosphere over aggression, utilizing clean digital synthesis and precise drum machine programming. It lacks the heavy distortion and 'metallic clatter' of his later 90s output, instead offering a polished, cinematic take on industrial-tinged ambient. Critically, it serves as a bridge between the European EBM scene and the IDM-adjacent sounds of the era. The track lengths suggest a focus on hypnotic progression rather than pop structure, with 'Another Line' and 'Egypt' standing as pillars of his early, more melodic sound design.
