MOBIUS

Released in 2009, Mobius is the sophomore effort from the Japanese artist known as Accept. Entirely unrelated to the German heavy metal legends, this project explores a 'minstrel' persona, blending acoustic-driven folk with sophisticated downtempo electronic production. The album is structured as a concept piece, characterized by its heavy use of multi-layered vocal harmonies and a diverse instrumental palette including the Fender Rhodes, flute, and strings. While primarily a serene, ambient-folk record, it incorporates experimental 'mood pieces' that utilize vocal distortion and trippy synths to disrupt the pastoral flow.
