Mimik

Mimik is a 2021 EP by the British outfit 65daysofstatic, released as part of their ongoing 'Wreckage Systems' era. This period marks a significant pivot from traditional post-rock toward generative music and algorithmic composition. While the band has always integrated IDM elements, Mimik sees them almost entirely abandoning the rock format in favor of modular synthesis and glitch-heavy electronic structures. The EP features two versions of the title track, with the 'Brln' mix highlighting a direct influence from Berlin's techno scene.
