Lite Me Up

Released in 1982, Lite Me Up marks one of Herbie Hancock's most overt pivots toward mainstream R&B and disco-pop. Following the success of his vocoder-heavy experiments in the late 70s, this album saw Herbie collaborating closely with Rod Temperton (of 'Thriller' fame) and Narada Michael Walden to craft a sleek, radio-ready sound.
