Let’s Ride

Released in March 1998, Let’s Ride is Montell Jordan’s third studio album and a pivotal release for Def Jam’s R&B wing. While Jordan was already a household name due to 'This Is How We Do It,' this album saw him leaning harder into the 'Thug-R&B' aesthetic that was dominating the charts. The title track, featuring Master P and Silkk the Shocker, was a massive crossover hit that bridged the gap between New Orleans bounce and traditional soul.
