King of the Kill

Released in 1994, King of the Kill is Annihilator's fourth studio album and a significant turning point in their discography. Following the commercial disappointment of Set the World on Fire, bandleader Jeff Waters took nearly total creative control, performing lead vocals and bass in addition to his usual guitar duties. This shift resulted in a more stripped-back, aggressive sound that reclaimed the thrash roots of Alice in Hell while incorporating the groove-heavy influences prevalent in the 90s metal scene.
