Gonna Ball

Released in 1981 as their second studio effort, Gonna Ball finds the Stray Cats leaning harder into their blues and R&B influences compared to their self-titled debut. Recorded primarily in the UK, the album showcases a band that had quickly mastered the art of the rockabilly revival, moving beyond mere imitation into a more muscular, punchy sound. While their debut was a polished introduction to the mainstream, this record feels more like a live set captured in a smoke-filled room.
