Glory

Released in early 2016, Glory is the second EP from the Melbourne duo Good Morning (Stefan Blair and Liam Parsons). Following their debut 'Shawcross', this record solidified their reputation as masters of the 'slacker rock' or 'jangle pop' sound that defined the Melbourne indie scene in the mid-2010s. Recorded primarily on a four-track tape machine, the album's sonic identity is inseparable from its medium; the audible hiss and pitch fluctuations provide a tactile, organic quality that digital recordings often lack. Critically, it was praised for its deceptive simplicity and its ability to evoke a very specific sense of place and time - specifically the suburban malaise of Australian youth.
