Released in July 2023, Find a Way represents a significant refinement of Balu Brigada's 'groove-pop' sound. Following their signing to Atlantic Records, the New Zealand duo (brothers Henry and Pierre Beasley) leaned further into the sophisticated, bass-driven arrangements that had become their hallmark. The EP serves as a bridge between their bedroom-pop origins and a more expansive, high-fidelity pop sound. Recorded between New Zealand and New York, the project synthesizes the laid-back coastal energy of their home with the sharp, urban urgency of the city. Critics noted the EP's ability to balance funk-inspired rhythms with introspective, often wistful lyrics about navigation and self-discovery.
