Everything Ecstatic Part 2

Released in 2005 as a companion piece to his critically acclaimed fourth studio album, Everything Ecstatic Part 2 sees Kieran Hebden (Four Tet) exploring the more experimental, abstract, and rhythmically intense side of his production style. The EP is dominated by the sprawling, sixteen-minute extended version of "Turtle Turtle Up," a track that showcases Hebden's mastery of long-form tension, modular-style synth builds, and complex percussion layering. Moving away from the acoustic-heavy 'folktronica' tag that defined his early career, this release leans heavily into IDM, glitch, and experimental techno.
