Demos I

Demos I offers a rare, unvarnished look into the internal mechanics of Hippo Campus during a period of significant sonic transition. Moving away from the bright, guitar-driven anthems of their debut, these recordings capture the band in a state of restless experimentation. The sound is defined by skeletal drum machine beats, warm but lonely synthesizers, and vocals that feel like they were recorded in the middle of the night to avoid waking anyone up.
