Coming From the Sky

Released in 2000, Coming From the Sky is the debut studio album by French power metal band Heavenly. It arrived at the height of the European power metal revival, heavily influenced by the German speed metal scene (Helloween, Gamma Ray) and the neoclassical flair of Yngwie Malmsteen. The album is notable for its high production values for a debut, featuring guest appearances by genre stalwarts Kai Hansen and Piet Sielck, which helped cement the band's legitimacy in the international scene. Sonically, the record is defined by its extreme tempos, complex vocal arrangements, and a heavy reliance on synthesizers to create a symphonic backdrop.
