Another Place

Released in 2018 on the Nous'klaer Audio label, Another Place served as a definitive statement for upsammy's (Thessa Torsing) emerging sound. While her earlier work hinted at these textures, this EP solidified her reputation for 'crystalline IDM' - a style characterized by high-frequency clarity and intricate, non-linear percussion. The four tracks function as a cohesive suite, moving from the rhythmic curiosity of 'Zona' to the expansive, nearly eight-minute journey of the title track.
