A Minor Spell

Released in September 2010, A Minor Spell serves as a bridge between Vandaveer’s more formal studio outings. Recorded quickly over one hot week in August, the EP captures Mark Heidinger and his frequent collaborator Rose Guerin in a raw, largely live setting. This 'home-cooked' approach strips away the more elaborate chamber-pop flourishes found on their full-length albums, leaving a skeletal but emotionally resonant core of indie folk.
