100° EP

Released in March 2003, the 100° EP served as the introductory statement for Shout Out Louds, a band that would soon become central to the international explosion of Swedish indie pop. While their debut full-length, 'Howl Howl Gaff Gaff', would eventually refine this sound into something more expansive, this EP remains a document of their rawest impulses. Recorded with a leaner production budget, the tracks emphasize the interplay between the driving bass and the scratchy, treble-heavy electric guitars. The title track '100°' became an early signature, showcasing the band's ability to pair upbeat, almost danceable tempos with a sense of Nordic longing.
